The Clark brothers' story
The Clark brothers own Fraserburgh-based International Fish Canners (IFC), the only fish canning factory in the UK. They produce cans of mackerel fillets and brisling sardines for retailers and brand owners all over the world.
Our consumer initiative Love Seafood is all about inspiring the nation to fall in love with fish and shellfish. When it launched in October last year, International Fish Canners got in touch. They were keen to give one of their biggest customers some recipe inspiration for their products. Our simple smoked mackerel recipes did the trick, and their orders went up.
Thanks to the work Seafish carried out promoting tinned fish recipes, we have benefitted in a surge in orders and hopefully will reap the benefits of this over years to come.

Since Love Seafood launched to the world, over 600 businesses have gotten involved, using our content and marketing support.
In the first six months of Love Seafood:
