Invitation to Tender: Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA)

In collaboration with seafood businesses, we seek a partner to deliver a Human Rights Impact Assessment in UK Nephrops and scallop supply chains.

The project will be funded jointly by Seafish and businesses involved in the Nephrops and scallop supply chains.

Its purpose is primarily to:

Provide a comprehensive overview of areas of actual and potential human rights risks across both the Nephrops and scallop supply chains.

Provide advice and guidance to enable businesses to take tangible and meaningful action to address known risks and to mitigate future risks.

Please note:

1. The scope of this project should include the supply-chain and all parts of the UK in which each of these fisheries operate. Related work is expected to start in the Nephrops fishery in Northern Ireland in early 2025. This work is expected to run concurrently with the HRIA project but any findings, and subsequent actions, should be referenced in the HRIA outputs.

2. The proposed maximum budget detailed in the tender document excludes VAT.

The closing date for responses noon on 24 February 2025.
