Mussel Purification - Further Developments of a Scale Deep Stack Purification Tank

Summary

Following earlier trials the very high density deep stack purification tank initially developed by David Coulson and Mick Butler has been improved and in particular the water flow rate increased yet further. In a series of 6 purification trials the effectiveness of the tank has been demonstrated provided that tank loading is limited, water flow rate is high, temperature is controlled and water re-use is limited. The tank has been granted a provisional operating licence. This report has been produced from a scanned original and may therefore contain some formatting and other inaccuracies.
