Further Evaluation of Square Mesh Panels to Improve Selectivity for Cod in Demersal Trawls

Summary

The report describes the most recent in a series of attempts to improve the release rates of sub legal cod from trawls. The work was carried out under MAFF Commission MF0612. In the main part of the trials square mesh side panels were used but they seemed to offer little, if any benefit. This report has been produced from a scanned original and may therefore contain some formatting and other inaccuracies.
