Caused by the aftermath of the ISA affecting Chilean supply earlier in the year. Compared to Q2, the value of chilled sector fell by -7% in Q3, with frozen and ambient falling by -1% and -4% respectively. Compared to Q3 2009, the value of the chilled sector is up +3%, with both frozen and ambient falling by -2%. These trends are in line with consumers switching to staples, as the consumer confidence index falls to its lowest level since Dec 2008.
